It’s January, which means every tech geek’s favorite tech convention is here! CES 26 saw the announcement of so many cool new tech, and here are the top 6 tech from the event.
6. Lego SMART Play
Lego launched a set with sensors integrated into the blocks. There are three main smart blocks included – the SMART brick, the SMART tag, and the SMART minifigure. The SMART tag and SMART minifigure are essentially tags for the SMART brick to detect. The SMART brick, on the other hand, has an ASIC chip inside, which gives it its functionality. The SMART brick is capable of using its accelerometer, motion sensors, speakers, and LEDs to make playing more interactive.

5. L’Oréal Light Straight + Multi-Styler
This brand-new hair straightener is by far the most incredible announcement in beauty tech. Most hair straighteners require heating them up to 400F to fully straighten hair. However, this could damage the hair, since the proteins in our hair start to denature at such high temperatures. This product uses a patented Infrared Technology, which allows it to straighten the hair at 320F and prevents denaturation. They’ve also announced something they call “Physical AI”, where the straightener adapts to your hand gestures and styling techniques. Not only is it able to straighten, but it can curl, smooth, and style in other ways as well.
4. Samsung’s Micro RGB Backlit R95H TV and Timeless Frame
This all-new Samsung TV is the biggest Micro RGB Display to date, at a whopping 130in. Micro RGB TVs are known for their high brightness and color accuracy, creating the darkest blacks possible on a TV. This TV is also a wireless TV, which includes a Connect Box, so you won’t have to connect any of your HDMI cables to the TV. Samsung has also integrated its Vision AI, which is what enables the high color precision.

3. GE Profile Smart Refrigerator
This refrigerator has to be the most high-tech refrigerator in today’s day and age. This fridge includes a Barcode Scanner to track your inventory, FridgeFocus Cameras to identify perishables and use AI to reduce food wastage, meal planning using AI, and an 8in display to go with it. This is the first of its kind, a refrigerator enhanced by AI.
2. Roborock Saros Rover
This robot vacuum has finally found the solution to the issue no other vacuum could solve – vacuuming stairs. It does this by making the wheels legs, which allows it to lift to get on steps. Its ability to balance on its two legs is incredible. Roborock also showcased some of their classic devices at the event, including the Saros Z70. This vacuum uses RockMind, Roborock’s AI model, and a robotic arm attached to it to move objects out of the way and throw trash away.

1. Boston Dynamics Atlas
The Atlas robot looks nothing like the bulky robot we once saw doing parkour on YouTube. Boston Dynamics partnered with Google DeepMind to make this robot possible. Google DeepMind provides the robot with both athletic intelligence and AI integration, which allows it to perform tasks in a more human-like way. The robot is much sleeker than it was before and is able to handle more industrial tasks than ever before. Boston Dynamics has announced that the robot will be rolled out for manufacturing later this year.
CES 26 showed us what is possible for tech today in the AI age. The future of tech looks very promising.
